Found the pomegranate molasses (actually, paste) at a great middle eastern market in Rockville this afternoon.
Work was slow, but I was pleased with finding the missing ingredient:)
Too bad I cooked up the chicken thighs with Trader Joe’s Cacciatore simmer sauce last night.
Oh well, at least I’ll have the random ingredient ready for next time (probably next week)
not much to say this evening.
I’m tired and have a million things on my mind

Today hasn’t been my day. . .
traffic woes this morning that lead to me realizing I’d left my work clothes at home (while I was wearing somewhat dirty jeans and a workout shirt into the gym at the office). . .shopping for new clothes lead me to realize what a pain it is buying pants for a curvy figure (who designs this stuff anyhow, people who don’t have hips???) lead to me eating a late lunch and don’t even get me started on the fact that I’m somehow incapable of finding one ingredient that I’ve been seeking to make dinner this week (pomegranate molasses). . .
sheesh.
Top that off with the Sean Taylor news and you’ve really got a good reason to have a case of the Tuesdays (and we all know how I feel about Tuesdays)
the day ended well with a delicious meal, some good TV (from Monday night, via the DVR). . .and the discovery of candy cane oreos at Trader Joes (not really oreo brand oreos, but sandwich cookies with candy cane-studded creme). . .haven’t tried them yet, but I look forward to it.
off to bed for me.
later days,
me
It’s dark, it’s grey, it’s raining. . .
and I have a pounding headache. ..
not at all in sync with when I typically get headaches, so I’m not quite sure where it’s coming from
must be the rain. or maybe it’s just monday
took the opportunity, it being monday and all, to start going back to the gym in the mornings.
I’d let my working out fall by the wayside during October and most of November. I’d hate to head into holiday season already up in the weight department only to add on a few more comfortably delicious pounds. I think that staying active through December will definitely increase my energy and ability to stay healthy, not to mention decrease my waistline. . .no sense in waiting until the new year (again).
I’m looking forward to dinner tonight. I prepped it yesterday, so it just needs a little time in the oven and it’ll be good to go, with a side salad and perhaps a glass of wine (or maybe not given my headache situation.
later days,
me
